Expert Functional Electrical Stimulation Therapy in Charlotte, NC
At Revive Neurorecovery Center, we go beyond what traditional therapy can offer. Serving Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC, our Doctors of Physical Therapy deliver one-on-one neurological rehabilitation — including functional electrical stimulation — designed to push recovery further than you thought possible.
When Traditional PT Stops, Progress Shouldn't
Thousands of neurological patients in the Charlotte area reach a frustrating wall — not because recovery is over, but because the system says it is. Insurance limits cut off care before your goals are met, leaving you without a path forward.
-

Insurance Runs Out
Coverage ends when you meet basic functional benchmarks — not when you've reached your personal goals. Many patients are discharged with significant recovery still within reach.
-

Generic, One-Size-Fits-All Care
Traditional settings often rely on aides or assistants and group-style sessions that can't address the complexity of a neurological injury the way you deserve.
-

No Specialized Neurological Focus
Most outpatient PT clinics aren't equipped with advanced tools like FES, Lokomat, or ReWalk — leaving patients without access to the interventions that drive real neurological change.
Why Charlotte Chooses Revive for Neurological PT
Revive Neurorecovery Center was built specifically for people who refuse to stop progressing. We combine advanced modalities like functional electrical stimulation therapy with one-on-one care from a Doctor of Physical Therapy — every single session. No aides. No insurance ceilings. No compromise. Whether you're recovering from a spinal cord injury, stroke, or brain injury, we meet you where you are and build a plan to get you where you want to be.
✓ Every session is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapist — never an aide or assistant
✓ Advanced technology including functional electrical stimulation (FES), Lokomat, and ReWalk integrated into your personalized plan
✓ No insurance restrictions — receive the type and amount of therapy you actually need to reach your goals
“I’ve gone to 2 different PT places and they got me to a point in my progress, and then they have to stop and let me go — the insurance won’t let them go any further. Then I found Revive. Ashley and Anna put together a plan to help me in my journey. You won’t be disappointed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about getting started with neurological PT at Revive near Charlotte, NC
-
Functional electrical stimulation (FES) uses low-level electrical currents to activate muscles that have been weakened or paralyzed due to a neurological condition. At Revive, FES is integrated into activity-based therapy sessions to help retrain the neuromuscular system, improve voluntary movement, and support recovery goals for conditions like spinal cord injury, stroke, and brain injury.
-
Revive operates outside of the traditional insurance model, which means there are no limits on the type or amount of therapy you can receive. This allows our Doctors of Physical Therapy to design a program based entirely on your goals — not on what an insurer will approve. We can provide documentation for patients who wish to submit claims to their insurance independently.
-
We specialize in neurological and complex rehabilitation needs including spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, progressive neurological conditions, and lower body amputations. If you're unsure whether we can help, call us at (704) 900-3674 and we'll discuss your situation.

Every session at Revive is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapist — never an aide. All sessions are performed outside of a wheelchair and in weight-bearing positions to maximize neuroplasticity and recovery. We also have access to advanced technology including FES, Lokomat, and ReWalk that most outpatient clinics simply don't offer.
-
Neurological recovery is a lifelong journey. Neuroplasticity — the brain's ability to rewire and adapt — continues long after the acute phase of injury. Many of our patients come to us after plateauing elsewhere and continue making meaningful progress for months and years. There is no arbitrary endpoint at Revive.
